GET TO KNOW US
Our Family. Our Farm. Our Story.
Generations of farming, family, hard work, and a love for the land and livestock we care for.
Our Story
Our little piece of paradise is our sanctuary.
We love working with our animals and caring for the land. Farming has been part of our family for as long as we can remember—it is part of our heritage and in our blood.
Our story on this farm goes back to 1970, when Dad started his own dairy operation. Back then, the farm was home to Golden Guernseys, and the pastures and hay fields helped provide for the dairy herd.
Times have changed, and so has the farm. Today, we sell the hay that the Guernseys once ate and raise beef cattle on the lush pastures where they once grazed. While the farm has evolved, our connection to the land, our animals, and our family's farming heritage remains the same.
We are proud to share the results of our hard work with you and your family. When you support K & T’s Family Farm, you are supporting generations of farming experience, a caring touch, and a family that truly loves what we do.
From our family and our farm to yours.

OUR FARM TODAY
The Farm Has Changed, but Our Roots Remain
The dairy days may be behind us, but many of the lessons learned from those years still guide the way we farm today. The same fields that once supported our Golden Guernseys now help us produce hay and raise beef cattle.

HAY
“You can’t make hay if the sun don’t shine!”
— Mr. Dave
Producing quality hay has always been an important part of our farm. Over the years, our hay has gone to many different types of farms and animals, from horses and cattle to goats and more.
We believe much of our success comes from the “hay comes first” mentality Dad instilled in us.
Back when our Golden Guernseys depended on our hay to produce quality milk—and our family depended on that milk check—we learned an important lesson: great hay makes happy cows, and happy cows make better milk checks!
That lesson stuck with us. When the hay is down and the weather is right, everything else becomes secondary. Hay comes first.
“I’ve never gotten a bad bale.” — Lentz

STRAW
Long, Hot Days in the Straw Field!
“When will you bale straw?” is a question we hear often.
The answer? Usually on one of the hottest, most humid days of the summer!
We typically bale wheat straw around the Fourth of July. Our neighbor combines the wheat, and then it is our turn to get to work baling the straw. We fill the barn with what we need and make the rest available to our customers.
It is hot, dusty work—but it is another summer tradition that has become part of life at K & T’s Family Farm.

HOMEGROWN BEEF
“From Our Pastures to Your Family
The pastures that once supported our Golden Guernseys now provide grazing for our beef cattle.
From their early days through finishing, we work to provide our cattle with attentive care, quality feed, and access to our pastures. Raising cattle takes time, patience, and daily work, and we believe that care matters in the beef we produce for our family and our customers.
